Born Sept. 22, 1854 in Brighton, ON, Wilmot was the son of Frederick and Mary Pickle and was a brother of Augusta Pickle who married Elias Maybee, Sarah’s brother. Sarah and Wilmot lived in Brighton Tp. Wilmot died June 10, 1903 in Brighton. Sarah’s obituary indicates that she was converted when she was five years old and at Pake’s Church and Carman Methodist Church in Brighton Township, and later the Wesleyan and Methodist churches in the village of Brighton. Following their marriage the couple continued farming and in 1945 Mr. and Mrs. Jackson moved from their farm residence into Swift Current, where they have since resided. Sidney Jackson was a member and active worker of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church life member of the Elks Lodge. Through the years Mr. Jackson was a devoted husband and father, and a person who always enjoyed his many friends and neighbors. Friends wishing may in his memory, make donations to St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund.   Note: Memory Gardens is a private cemetery operated by Warren & Son Funeral Home in Swift Current. It is located just south of the intersection of The Trans Canada Highway (#1) and Highway # 4 south. Maintenance personel were onsite and were able to find Sidney Jackson in their database and show me the memorials. This cemetery is large enought and all stones are flat ground stones so browsing was not an option.²

The Alberta/Saskatchewan border is Meridian 4 and the Saskatchewan/ Manitoba boundary is Meridian 2. Meridian 3 runs down the middle of Saskatchewan. Sidney D. Jackson is referred to as W3 - West of Meridian 3, which means the western part of Saskatchewan. Townships are numbered from the U.S. border north and ranges are numbered from the eastern border or Saskatchewan to the western border. This is the grid on the map with allows us to see Sidney D.   "Stella Massey - b. 1880; d. June 10, 1899. Probably many of you have heard of Stella's tragic death. She was attending a May 24 picnic on the grounds of Castleton Church. A youth threw a lighted firecracker at her feet as she walked along with a boy friend. The celluloid starch used to stiffen the full petticoats of that period, caught the flames, and the terrified girl running, spreading them. She was taken to the adjoining manse where she died June 10. The service was at Morganston Church. A neighboring minister officiated as the local one was too upset to be able to conduct the service. Burial, Stone Cem., Norham.
