"Obituary: Addison Wilfred Teal - At Kingston, on Wednseday, June 22, 1955, after an illness of six months, Mr. Addison Wilfred Teal of Colborne, entered into rest in his seventieth year. He was born in Wooler, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Teal (nee Mary Fraleigh). When a young man he went to the United States where he learned the carpenter trade in Barberton, Ohio. In his return to Canada, he came to reside in Colborne, where he married Miss Pearl Edith Turney, who predeceased him exactly two years ago. His chief interests were his home, garden and flowers. He is survived by four sons, Russell, Ross and Charles of Colborne, Oscar of Campbellford and one daughter, Dorothy, Mrs. Lloyd Chatterson of Salem, twelve grandchildren, one sister, Gladys, Mrs. Robert Compton of Van Nuys, California; also several nieces and nephews. Another sister, Alice, predeceased him a number of years ago. Mr. Teal rested at the G. B. Barnes Funeral Home where a large number called to pay their respects. The funeral service was held Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. M. Redvers Brown, Minister fo Colborne United Church. The pallbearers were Messrs. George Mutton, Harry Fiske, Leonard Gordon, Wallace Peterson, Gordon Bevais and Elgie Warner. The flower bearers were Messrs. Stuart Haynes, Jack Watson, Bruce Spencer, Johyn Wright, I.
