My research takes them back to William Helson and Patience Clifton who were married in Week St Mary Cornwall 15 November 1808. They had 8 children that I have been able to find. The children were Susanna, Elizabeth, William, Mary Ann, Thomas, Martha, George and Sarah. I have no marriage information for Susanna or Elizabeth. William married Elizabeth Woof and lived in Peterborough and Perth Counties. You know about Mary Ann marrying Samuel Allen and their journey to Canada and their life once they got here. My Great Great Grandfather was Thomas Helson and he married Margaret Cronk(ite) and they had 11 children. Their oldest son was my great grandfather George Helson and he married Sarah Bonney and had my Grandmother Martha Emily Helson. Martha Helson married Richard Potter and lived across the road from Uncle Max but the children did not know they were cousins. George Helson married Ellen Metcalfe in Peterborough and lived there all their life. They also had 10 children
