- Note: 28 July 1959; Armed Forces Base, Trenton, Hastings Co., Ontario; Marjorie Morgan and her father, Frank Goodrich, were among several local people who met Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip on the tarmak at Trenton Forces Base on July 28, 1959. Frank Goodrich was Reeve of Brighton Village at the time. Sadly, his wife, Eva, had passed away only a few weeks before, and plans were quickly changed to have their daughter, Marjorie, go in her mother's place. A pictrure of the moment shows Frank Goodrich shaking hands with the Queen and Marjorie, beside and behind him, right foot lifted in anticipation of a proper curtsy. Marjorie loved to tell this story and giggled at the way this picture shows her state of mind at that moment. (Image is from Marjorie Morgan Collection)

The property was donated in part by Frank Goodrich and Roy Loomis to the Lower Trent Conservation Authority in 1970 to be preserved as a wildlife sanctuary." http://www.visitcramahe.ca/cramahe/tourism/conservation.asp

"Hi Dan, As a result of your email, I contacted Ann Darling, daughter of Doris (Hardy) Darling who is, in fact, the sister of the boy whom I was told was adopted by your great grandparents. Irony! Irony! The stuff of which great theatre is made! Below is our correspondence. If you do contact Jean, please tell her that it was I (son of Elizabeth and Grant Allen - she will know!) who put you on to her. Good luck! I'd love to hear the results of your chat! Garth" per email from Garth Allen, August 8, 2014
"Hi Garth; Jean is not deceased, she turned 90 years old this year. Mom talks to her quite a bit. Her husband Bob died about 3 years ago. Jean's son Steven lives with her, and her daughter Nancy lives near Ottawa. Jean lives in Stoffville and has a cottage up north. I'll give you both phone numbers but you should try the home phone number first because she does not go to the Cottage as often now as she use to. Home # 1-905-640-2265
Cottage # 1-705-877-3080 Ann" from an email sent to me by Garth Allen, per email to him from Ann Darling, Aug 8 2014.4,2,5
