Twice that number were invited, but owing to the unfavorable condition of the roads, were unable to be present. After partaking of a very rich and sumptious repast, the preparing of which reflects much credit upon the ladies, addresses suitable to the occassion were delivered by Hart A. Massey, Esq., President of the Massey Manufacturing Compnay of Toronto; Rev. Mr. Balfourof Grafton; W. J. Massey, Esq., of Belleville; and O. W. Powell, Esq., of Cobourg." Included were four cruet stands; tow gold-handled umbrellas; gold-pieces; half a dozen individual salt cups and spoons (gold lined), presented by Mr. and Mrs. Hart A.
