    "MRS. W. H. SHERWOOD. Mrs. W. H. Sherwood, whose maiden name was Miss Amy Cross, was born 79 years ago in the Township of Murray and there spent the early part of her life. She was one of a family of 7 of which only one survives, Mrs. Williams of Trenton. About forty-five years ago, she and W. H. Sherwood were united in marriage. Most of their subsequent says spent at Presqu'ile Point and Brighton. Mrs. Sherwood passed over to the other life on Feb. 24th, being predeceased by her husband by a space of few weeks. And now their ? remains rest side by side in Mount Hope cemetery. Their ? have gone up to God, and the ? between the parting and the grieving was very brief. For many years Mrs. Sherwood was connected with the Methodist church the and the latter part of her life was unable through failing health to attend many of the services. With the passing of Mr. and Mrs. Sherwood, Brighton has lost two of its most respected citizens and the Methodist Church two of its most faithful and loved members.
