Dr. Clark's residence, garage, automobile and part of the contents of the house and office were also destroyed. J.M. Spencer's Implement Shop, which heavy stock of implements, wire, shingles, etc.; Cheer & Tweedle Coal Office, Fred Jacques Harness Shop and Booth's Shoe Shop was completely demolished. The contents of the two latter places were saved however. Only prompt and strenuous work on the part of friends saved Roblin's Blacksmith shop from burning, too.   Note: This was a very significant fire but it takes a back seat in recollection to the disastrous blaze on south Main Street on January 12 1921. It was a very bad time for fires in Brighton.¹⁶
