William Young, and on the following Sunday he was laid to rest by a large concourse of people, in Trenton, Ontario. Mr. S.S. Young was born in Brampton when he father was stationed at that place and he was the last survivor of an intersting family, three of whom became preachers: the Rev. William John Young, the Rev. Charles Young, and the Rev. Egerton R. Young, the well-known missionary, lecturer and author. the other members of the family where: James B., George and Henry and one sister, Catherine, the wife of the late Mr. James Landerkin of Bond Head. Mr. S.S. Young entered upon a business career and for some time conducted a large and successful whoelsale grocery business in Trenton. Retiring for some time from business, Mr. Young became a considerable of a world treavller, finally settling in Toronto, where for some years he represented business interests of Lond, England, New Yorl, and West Indies. Never a seeker of office, Mr. Young, however, filled with great efficiency, positions of trust like that of Town Councillor and Member of the School baord when they were thrust upon him He was a man of sterling charcter, kindliness of spirit and exceptional winsomeness of manner.
