- Death*: 7 March 1915; West of Dallas, Polk Co., Oregon, U.S.A.; "ESTIMABLE LADY DIES. The funeral of Mrs. Mary Ellen Cochrane, wife of Edward M. Cochrane, was held at Chapman's chapel, Tuesday afternoon at 2:30, conducted by Rev. George H. Bennett. Interment was in the Odd Fellows' cemetery. Mrs. Cochrane passed away Sunday morning, March 7th, at the family residence, two miles West of Dallas. She had been in poor health for a couple of years, but her illness only took a serious turn a week before her death. Mrs. Cochrane was born in Ontario, Canada, April 23, 1880. Besides the husband, she leaves four sons, William, Edward, Charles and Mode, all residing at home. There are also three brothers, one residing at Toledo, Oregon, Wm. Coombs, and two in Canada, Wesley, and Gideon Coombs of Hilton. Ontario. -Itemizer, Dallas Oregon.
