- Birth*: after April 1852; Brighton, Northumberland Co., Canada West; Date 1852 & location UC per 1861 Census. Does not appear in 1851 Census.2,3
- Death*: 30 April 1862; Brighton, Northumberland Co., Ontario; Date Apr 30 1862 per CemSearch. Small memorial that is unreadable is right beside large one that is also unreadable. The large one is likely Hiram's and the small one Helson's. So, I am assuming this small memorial and this date of 1862 applies to the son, Nelson Bulkley, since date fits and there is no other info for him. Dan Buchanan, Sep 30 2023)4,5
- Burial*: 2 May 1862; Mount Hope Cemetery, Brighton, Northumberland Co., Ontario; CemSearch: Name: - Bulkley; Born: - Died: Sep 2 1868; Age: - ; ID: MTHOPE256; No other names; Cemetery: Mount Hope Cemetery, Conc A, Lot 35, Brighton Twp., Village of Brighton, Northumberland Co., Sec 1 Lot 13; Note: Unreadable (https://www.cemsearch.ca/burial/?pid=MTHOPE256%5E0)
Note: Looking at all the memorials and the info for this family, I have to conclude that the larger of the two unreadable stones is for Hiram and the smaller one is for Nelson. Also, references to Hiram continue in 1865 and 1867, so the 1868 date must refer to him, and the 1862 date to Nelson. This is how it looks to me now. (Dan Buchanan, Sep 30 2023)4
