"The funeral of Thomas Whitford Solomon took place from his late residence on Main street, Friday afternoon, March 10th, 1916. He passed away after a brief illness. March 8th, in his 77th year. He was born near Roseneath, Alnwick Township, from which place he removed to the United States in early manhood, where he lived for many years, afterwards returning to Canada, making Brighton his home for the remainder of his life. He was a younger brother of James E. Solomon, who predeceased him by only a few days. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Mary Jane Turner of Peterboro, and several nephews and nieces. The funeral service was conducted by Rev. S. H. Lamb, pastor of the Baptist church.
