Bettes, 1012 Bales Avenue, president of the Bates Mfg. Co., W. H. Bettes, and H. S. Bettes, Paris Texas. The funeral will be held tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock from Mrs. Ward's home. Burial will be at Holden, Mo., where Mr. Bettes formerly lived. K. C. Times, Sept. 18. Mrs. Bettes came to Holden about 1866 and conducted a large hardware and lumber business here. At that time trade came here from the lead mines around Joplin. Mr. Bettes and his sons were important factors in the development of this section of the state. He was a member of the M.
