They agreed and this situation was successful for several years. Lyle went to work on his wife's father's farm and younger brother Dean Chatten worked with Roy on shares with the Harden farm for a time. Then, Roy decided to purchase the Harnden place, a mortgage was arranged and the property was purchased before Roy married Florence Rannie in 1947.
