Analysis: W. J. Buchanan must mean William Busby Buchanan, who has a sister and is the only W. Buchanan alive in this group in 1912. Their Aunt would be the sister of their mother (Elizabeth Stuart), Mary Ann Stuart who was the wife of Henry Hayes and lived in Carrying Place. John Buchanan would be John E. Buchanan, son of Thomas Buchanan, who lived in Carry Place as well. This confirms from another source (besides Bernice and Charles Buchanan) that Thomas Buchanan and Robert Buchanan likely were brothers - although it does not say whether William Busby Buchanan was FIRST cousin to John Buchanan or not.15

They recall the farm beside the Anglican Church as well as Johnny Jr. who was close to their age and a willing playmate.
