  • Burial*: 28 August 1918; Beechwood Cemetery, Ottawa, Carleton Co., Ontario; "The remains of the late Lieut. Cram were reposited in Beechwood cemetery Wednesday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock. Deceased came to his death in an airplane accident in Monday. He was flying at a height of 700 feet in company with Second Lieut. Singleton when their machine crashed to the ground. Singleton was seriously injured. Both young men were married but a short time, Lieut. Cram being married but three weeks ago to Miss Mida McCullough of this city, and Second Lieut. Singleton was married but ten days. Deceased was born in Scotland twenty three years ago, and has been in Canada for the last six years. He was employed in the Bank of Commerce at Moose Jaw, until the fall of 1915, when he went to Regina. There he enlisted early the following spring with the 229th battalion but owing to foot trouble was not permitted to go overseas. Last fall he was transferred to the R. F. C. and qualified for his commission about four weeks ago. At the time of the accident, he was taking an instructor's course. He is survived by his wife, Ottawa, his parents Mr. and Mrs. J. Cram in Scotland and two brothers Lieut. Col. Robert Cram, Valcartier and James Cram in Scotland. Rev. J. F. McFarlane, who married the young couple but three weeks ago, conducted the funeral service. The chief mourners were: Mrs. J. M. Cram, his wife; Lieut.-Col. Robt. Cram, brother, Valcartier; Lieut. F.
