Assuming this referes to the production of the portraits using the daguerrotype method that was common at that time. (Note: It may be more likely that it was the younger William Hawley Sanford her produce dthe daguerrotypes of the King's for Reuben Decourcey in July 1859. He is shown as a dentist in the 1861 Census in Simcoe Co. but was still in Brighton in 1859.)
