On the front page of this document, just below the portraits of Dr. & Sarah King, we see the words "Daguerrotype by Hawley Sanford, Brighton". Assuming this referes to the production of the portraits using the daguerrotype method that was common at that time. (Note: It may be more likely that it was the younger William Hawley Sanford her produce dthe daguerrotypes of the King's for Reuben Decourcey in July 1859. He is shown as a dentist in the 1861 Census in Simcoe Co. but was still in Brighton in 1859.)
